Description:
After skipping school, Rickie (Shiloh Fernandez) and JT (Noah Segan) break into the boiler room of a deserted mental hospital,  then make a shocking discovery: the plastic-covered naked body of a woman lying on a gurney. When they realize that the woman may be alive, JT shocks Rickie by suggesting they take advantage of her. But all is not as it seems in this dark thriller: The door to the boiler room had been rusted shut for years.

Our Opinion:
Yep, they went over the line and get to be placed in our “Disturbing” category. You will probably want to take a shower after seeing this one. The characters are rich and will have you screaming “Don’t Go There…” While a bit low budget, generally this film is well put together and will keep your attention. The trailer is mild compared to the actual movie. I’d like to say more but I don’t want to spoil it for you. There are some interesting developments in the last half of the film. See Trailer

Our Opinion:
This is psychological horror at its best. What would you do if placed in this situation? Naomi is always great,  but this is probably not her best film. Not because of her its just not mainstream like her other films. You will feel something watching this movie.

Our Opinion:
This is the is the one based on the writings of author Jack Ketchum and based on real events. At times horror reaches the edge and this is one of them. You most likely will not be comfortable watching this movie in mixed company. The cinematography and the attention to detail with this period piece set in the late 50s is well done.

Our Opinion:
This is a golden oldie but still very shocking even for today’s audience. It is typical of 70’s type films with long scenes and campy dialog. The audio was pretty bad even though the version I watched was remastered in digital dolby. Perhaps they had to. This is a graphic film which had a hard time keeping an R rating when it was released. The mainstream movie critics didn’t like it. Horror fans loved it because it goes to the edge and maybe beyond. That is why it deserves cult status. I had to see it because I was curious what other horror fans were talking about.
